End User: Traverse City Beach Bums
Objective of promotion: The original strategy was to simply give away CT10 Beach Towels imprinted with the team’s logo as a way to introduce the Beach Bums to their new fan base. This is the first year that the Beach Bums are playing in their new stadium in Traverse City, Michigan. They moved to the Great Lake State from Indiana and are the first professional baseball team since 1915 to play in Traverse City. The Bums are playing in the independent Frontier League.
How was the product used? The team liked the finished product so much they changed the promotion and have been selling the towels in their gift/team spirit shop at Wuerfel Field.
What was the result? The team owners are very happy that fans think enough of the Bums to purchase beach towels with the team logo on them.
